Ranging in age from 13 to 19, The Burie Family is quickly making a name for itself in southeastern Wisconsin, garnering a 2011 WAMI Bluegrass Band of the Year nomination and Christian/Gospel Artist of the Year in 2012! A crowd favorite at the KSMU Youth in Bluegrass competition for the past two years at Silver Dollar City in Branson, MO, this young band plays well beyond its years. Singing together from the time they could talk, the siblings have mastered the close harmonies often associated with family groups.
The Burie Family's performances are driven by their love of the bluegrass genre and their desire to share the gospel. Equally at home ministering to a few or playing to a crowd of hundreds, the group sees each musical experience as an opportunity to glorify God with the gifts He has blessed them with. Performing music specifically chosen to uplift and encourage others, it is their hope that they leave their audiences with smiles on their faces and songs in their hearts.
